FLOWERS
I probably take pictures of flowers more than any other thing. In addition to their inherent beauty, they make great subjects as they tend not to move. I credit Robert Mapplethorpe for sparking my interest in flower photos. I've never attempted to mimic his velvet-smooth and elegant studio shots of flowers, but the images are always in the back of my mind.

This photo suffers from being a poor scan of an old print. This was originally taken with a 35mm film camera. In the original, the dew drops on the foxglove are wonderful.
